Manchester United have released the list players chosen to take part in the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of America and both wantaway goalkeeper David De Gea as well as new signing Memphis Depay both make the list.
United will partake in a shorter pre-season tour, consisting of four matches in America, after Louis van Gaal complained of a too intense schedule last summer.
The club have released a list of 34 players who will travel to represent the Red Devils although the statement does say that more youth players could be added before they depart.
It is also interesting to note that Robin van Persie is included as speculation continues to mounts over his future.
Van Gaal’s entire squad is as followed:
Goalkeepers: De Gea, Sam Johnstone, Anders Lindegaard, Victor Valdes.
Defenders: Tyler Blackett, Jonny Evans, Reece James, Phil Jones, Paddy McNair, Rafael, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia, Guillermo Varela.
Midfielders: Depay, Daley Blind, Michael Carrick, Angel Di Maria, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Adnan Januzaj, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nani, Andreas Pereira, Nick Powell, Ashley Young.
Strikers: Henriquez, Van Persie Javier Hernandez, Will Keane, Wayne Rooney, James Wilson.
