Mark Hughes believes his swashbuckling side are redefining the public’s perception of Stoke City — and taking the club to new heights.

‘It’s hard to say really,’ the 21-year-old said. ‘Sometimes it doesn’t go your way. It’s about how you react.’
Some at White Hart Lane would not be too upset should Spurs fail to qualify for the energy-sapping Europa League.
But a disappointed Pochettino, who saw defender Vlad Chiriches sent off, disagreed.
‘It’s important to win the games and to achieve things,’ he said. ‘It is good for the club for the club to be in the Europa League.’
