Manchester United are still sweating on the long-term future of David de Gea, with the media seemingly unaware just exactly which way this transfer is going to go, and it seems we’re getting different stories fed into us with each passing day.
The latest on the situation comes from Spain and Marca, who say that David de Gea is set for a face-to-face meeting with Louis van Gaal this week, and he’ll tell him that he wants to move to Real Madrid during this transfer window.
If true, it will be hard to keep hold of the Spaniard, and keeping a player who’s heart is elsewhere is never a good move because he’ll struggle to re-find the stunning form he was playing at last season.
Its nice watching Manchester United play hardball over the transfer though, as David de Gea is one of the best keepers in the world we simply have to make Real Madrid pay through the roof for the 24-year old.
