Liverpool have splashed out €41m, the highest ever transfer involving a Bundesliga club, to sign Firmino from Hoffenheim. The Brazilian will formally complete his move following the Copa America.
Lucas, who moved from Brazilian side Gremio to Liverpool in 2007, did his bit to help countryman Philippe Coutinho settle at Anfield when he joined the Reds in January 2013 from Inter.
And the 28-year-old midfielder has vowed to repeat the trick with Firmino.

"For me, as a Brazilian as well, I will just try to make [Firmino] feel comfortable as I did with Coutinho", Lucas told his club's official site.
"Then hopefully we will see him scoring a lot of goals for the club", he added.
Firmino caught Liverpool's eye with his accomplished performances in the German top flight with Hoffenheim.
He was also linked with Manchester United and Manchester City, but Liverpool acted swiftly to ensure they won the race for the forward's signature, signing him to a five-year deal.
